Rafael Advanced Defense Systems will showcase its cutting-edge short-range laser defense system, Lite Beam, at the AUSA military exhibition in Washington, D.C., from October 14-16. According to The Jerusalem Post, defense sources revealed that although Lite Beam may not rival the previously unveiled Iron Beam air defense system, it still demonstrates Israel’s advanced capabilities in layered defense for short-range protection. Sources confirmed Lite Beam’s performance had been demonstrated but did not specify if it was tested in the ongoing conflicts with Hamas or Hezbollah.
