Tight Presidential Race Between Harris and Trump, CNN Poll Shows | CISNewsStudio1s

A newly updated CNN Poll of Polls, released Wednesday evening, reveals a close race in the 2024 presidential election, with 50% of likely voters supporting Vice President Kamala Harris and 49% backing former President Donald Trump. The average includes five surveys, two of which give Harris a slight advantage, while the remaining three show a near tie.

In a Fox News poll also released Wednesday, Trump leads with 50% of support compared to Harris’s 48%. Among Trump supporters, 80% say their backing is based on support for him rather than opposition to Harris. For Harris, 66% of her supporters feel similarly.

When asked about key issues motivating their vote, Trump supporters highlighted the economy, immigration, and candidate characteristics. Harris supporters emphasized a dislike for Trump, protecting democracy, and abortion.
