Iran Executes Dual National Jamshid Sharmahd on Terrorism Charges | CISNewsStudio1s

Iran executed Iranian-German national Jamshid Sharmahd, who also held US residency, following his conviction for alleged terrorist activities, according to Iranian state media. In 2023, Sharmahd was sentenced to death on charges of “corruption on earth.” Iranian authorities accused him of leading the pro-monarchist group, Kingdom Assembly of Iran (Tondar), responsible for a 2008 bombing and planning other attacks.
His 2020 arrest was announced by Iran’s intelligence ministry, which described him as the “ringleader” directing “terrorist acts” from the United States. Tondar, based in Los Angeles, promotes restoring Iran’s monarchy, deposed by the 1979 Islamic Revolution, and operates opposition radio and TV broadcasts abroad.
