Israeli and Former Romanian MP, Alleged Ex-Mossad Agent, Arrested in Greece | CISNewsStudio1s

An Israeli and former Romanian MP, Nati Meir, who claims to have worked for Mossad, was arrested in late October on the Greek island of Rhodes. According to a Ynet report on Friday, Meir stated in an official affidavit to a Greek court that he had previously served as a Mossad agent in Romania. The affidavit aims to prevent his extradition to Bucharest, which issued a warrant for his arrest.

Bucharest has informed Interpol that Meir fled Romania in 2016 to avoid serving an 11-year prison sentence for criminal fraud. A hearing on Meir’s case is scheduled for next week in the Rhodes court.
