Vice President Kamala Harris has given her first solo interview of her White House campaign since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee nearly two months ago. Harris sat down with a local ABC News station in Pennsylvania, a key swing state, to discuss critical issues such as the economy, a potential political vulnerability, and gun control.

In response to her interview, her Republican opponent, Donald Trump, criticized her performance, claiming, “She had a very hard time yesterday answering the simplest of questions.”

With the election approaching in November, opinion polls show Harris and Trump locked in a tight race in Pennsylvania and other battleground states.
