Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared Tuesday’s attack on Israel as the “least punishment” and warned of more strikes if necessary. Speaking in Tehran on Friday, he called the action by Iran’s armed forces “completely legal and legitimate.”
During his speech, with a rifle barrel visible next to him, Khamenei also praised Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel as “legitimate” and paid tribute to Hezbollah and its leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was assassinated by Israel in Beirut last week.
