In a key diplomatic engagement, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio praised Pakistan’s vital contributions to regional and global peace during his first in-person meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Washington, D.C. The leaders discussed enhancing bilateral trade, investment, and cooperation in counter-terrorism, agriculture, and technology. Rubio acknowledged Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war on terror, while Dar highlighted mutual efforts for peace and stability. As UNSC President for July, Dar also plans to address The Atlantic Council to present Pakistan’s global stance and future ties with the US.
