The United States has credible indications that Iran is preparing to imminently launch a ballistic missile attack against Israel, a senior White House official stated on Tuesday. The US is actively supporting Israel’s defensive preparations and is ready to assist in intercepting any threats, similar to its response in April when Iran launched drones and missiles, most of which were successfully intercepted.

A direct attack by Iran on Israel would result in severe consequences for Iran, the official warned. US officials believe the upcoming attack could be similar in scope to the April assault.
