Kaya Kalas, head of the EU’s foreign affairs and security policy, has condemned Israel’s ongoing airstrikes in Gaza, calling them a blatant violation of human rights. In an interview, Kalas stated that Israel has exceeded all limits under the guise of self-defense. She expressed deep concern over the massive loss of innocent lives, stating such suffering should never be tolerated. Despite Israel’s announced ceasefire, continued bombings suggest aggressive intent and disregard for international law. Kalas emphasized that peace is impossible without honoring Palestinian rights and reiterated that a two-state solution remains the only viable path forward.
