Hungary and Pakistan have signed a mutual agreement to lift visa requirements for diplomatic passport holders, marking a key development during Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó’s visit to Islamabad. The visit, which coincides with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties, included high-level meetings and business forums aimed at enhancing cooperation in trade, energy, culture, and archaeology. Both sides also addressed regional security, counterterrorism efforts, and global political dialogue. Hungary reaffirmed its support for Pakistan’s GSP+ status beyond 2027 and praised its role in regional stability. Multiple MoUs were signed, further deepening bilateral relations and fostering long-term partnerships.
