North Korea’s KN-23 tactical ballistic missile, also known as the Hwasong-11A, is reportedly demonstrating significantly improved precision strike capabilities in the Ukraine conflict. According to multiple reports, the missile may now achieve a Circular Error Probable (CEP) of just 1–5 meters, representing a major advancement in battlefield effectiveness and accuracy.
The KN-23 has been widely compared to Russia’s Iskander-M missile due to its maneuverability, low flight trajectory, and ability to evade missile defense systems. Military analysts believe combat experience, technological improvements, and defense cooperation have contributed to the missile’s enhanced performance.
North Korea has also introduced the Hwasong-11Ma, an advanced successor featuring a hypersonic glide vehicle designed to improve survivability and penetration against modern air defense networks.
