Pakistan and Oman have strengthened their naval ties by signing a Memorandum of Understanding on maritime information sharing at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad. The MoU, signed by Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Rear Admiral Saif Bin Nasser Al Rahbi, aims to enhance mutual maritime awareness, coordination, and regional security. By enabling structured sharing of white shipping information, the agreement will improve surveillance and situational awareness in shared maritime zones. The Omani naval chief praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Navy and its role in maintaining maritime stability. The pact reflects a shared commitment to regional security, transparency, and safe seas in the Arabian Sea through sustained bilateral and multilateral naval cooperation.
