In a stunning victory, former President Donald Trump has defeated Vice President Kamala Harris, winning a second term in the White House after a historic and tumultuous election cycle marked by unprecedented twists and even two attempts on his life. Harris, who joined the race just over 100 days ago after President Biden stepped down despite winning the Democratic primaries, fell short in critical battleground states.

Trump crossed the 270 electoral vote threshold with projected wins in North Carolina, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. Fox News called the race after Trump secured Wisconsin, which he had narrowly lost in 2020.

In early morning remarks at a victory celebration in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump expressed gratitude, calling his reelection “the greatest political movement of all time” and promising a “golden age of America.”

He declared, “Thank you for the extraordinary honor of being elected the 47th president. I will fight for you, your family, and your future every single day. I will not rest until we deliver a strong, safe, and prosperous America.”.
