Italy is set to trial Starlink satellites, produced by Elon Musk’s company, to provide internet services in its most remote areas. According to a government official, the initiative is part of ongoing discussions between the Italian government and regional administrations.
Alessio Butti, Undersecretary to the Prime Minister’s Office, shared details in an interview with *Il Sole 24 Ore* ahead of a Group of Seven (G7) ministerial meeting focused on technology and digital developments at Lake Como. The project aims to bridge the digital divide in underserved regions of the country.
