Prince William will attend Pope Francis’ funeral on Saturday at St Peter’s Basilica, representing King Charles. He will join global leaders including UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, US President Donald Trump, and French President Emmanuel Macron. King Charles and Queen Camilla had a moving private meeting with the Pope two weeks before his passing at Casa Santa Marta during their Italy visit. The King, undergoing cancer treatment, praised the Pope’s compassion and mourned his loss deeply. Flags are being flown at half-mast on royal residences as a mark of respect.
